the bird looks to be in good condition thanks for the pics your loft front seems to be mesh probably because of the heat where in england our lofts are mostly boarded in.our new race season in uk will start in april to july for old birds and the young bird season follows on till september with a possible open race to finish off the season.

our young birds are bred from january on as we get our rings early in january.

the highlight of the closed season are various shows where allsorts of stuff for the pigeons can be bought off stands just like market stalls ,so the next show for me to attend is at doncaster where i will be buying some one drop, multi vits, and some nest felts .also for sale at these shows you can buy pigeons.

the realy big show in england is at blackpool-HOMING WORLD SHOW OF THE YEAR a lot of people attend this show and stay in blackpool overnight as it is a 2 day event.

what sort of events happen in morroco with the pigeons -where do you get your stock birds from -

yours in sport

terry

blackpool show is late january

hello Terry,i have wrote a replay right now and its disappeared...well because of the heat that most of lofts here are mesh like mine, but when its raining we do just cover the loft from rains and take it off when its sunny, its hot here most of the time,we have a mild weather around the year and hot summer.

the blackpool show seems to be a really big event there,we don't have such events here seriously,in morocco we just have some movements this year to create a royal fedaration of racing pigeons, thats our aim, because then, this can take us to the international races, also the new MC2100 and other systems, for example we may race in the Barcelona race, the distance from here where i live to barcelona is about 1100 km (flying bird).the fanciers here do all there best to push ahead this wonderful sport, you can say racing pigeons sport in morocco is just in the begining, and there are a good strains here for different distances.

i didn't understand wot this mean ( where do you get your stock birds from ?)

hi again,[ i didn't understand wot this mean ( where do you get your stock birds from ?) ]

when i decide the type of racing pigeon i want, sprint or middle distance or long distance ,i look around to see which pigeon fanciers are winning at the distance i want to race from,so with me i like the sprint racing and have purchased birds from good sprint lofts-these are my stock birds that i will breed from and hopefully win with young off these birds.

i have purchased birds in the UK as well as some from the continent-Belgium and the Holland for stock, and across there sprint is vittess. middle distance is mid fond ,and fond being long distance

pigeons can be also bought from advertisements that are in our weekly pigeon papers.

my continental birds are bought when i go to shows across there and friendships are made with continental flyers plus its great to get away for a break now and again.this year as well as blackpool i am hopeing to go to the new belgium show in late febuary then to the netherland show in early march.

the weather here has got worse and some of the local roads are blocked with snow and the minor roads into houseing estates are only driveable if you have a 4wheel drive motor.the main roads arent much beter.

CUP of TEA time see you later

hello mr terry, how are you? i hope everything is going good with you:)

yes now i understand wot that mean, thank you for the explnations,we do the same thing here too,if i want to keep racing pigeon,i have to get a good pigeons for that porpuse,as you said for mid fond or for fond...but when i got my birds,i didn't got them for racing for the first time,i have just like some birds in a loft a fancier friend who don't race pigeons,he have had some strains for race but he don't know about them..he just keep pigeons and feed them.. so around a year and hafl of breeding and training i played in the first race and i have got one diplom,so it was great, and i believe that there is NO wonderful Hoppy than racing pigeons.
