well to me the floor looks damp and if you look at the front there is a gap where the sheets meet the floor rain water will run back in simple realy and also a gap under side entrance damp creates problems so dry loft ? nope ass i have pointed the problems out , has the floor got  a damp course or felt sheeting below the ply flooring ?

Yeah the whole lots built on dpc.where you seeing the damp i was in today and its bone dry there are also drains under my flights so any water is drained away.I work in the building trade so i know how to stop the damp.as for the front the concrete slopes away from the loft.water doesnt run uphill.

i would seal the bottom of the front in as when rain hits the front the water will cascade down the walls even with a slope water will find its own level

I also have siberian larch to put on the front of my loft and there will be a breathable membrane in between my loft and the larch.with a few ground level vents in it.

but its still not damp????????

well if not damp then your birds will be fine if free from vermin and damp

If water did get in it would run under my floor which the under side is covered with dpc and into the drains.

looks very good indeed  and looks like youve did a lot of hard work on it,, birds looking great,, but cant just  help thinking , maybe , just a little more  ventilation  at ground level,, but really depends again on how many birds are in the loft, etc , but birds look superb :)

sounds good to me,, sometimes damp patches where droppings were are , look deceiving in the pics,, if just scraped recent b4 pic,, all should be well if these dry quickly :) beautifull loft and fittings :)

Hey Chris, don`t get uptight mate, you have a major damp problem, but that can be sorted if you stop sticking your head in the sand mate.

You can see they got a bit of bloom about them, but i suppose thats because it`s got colder and the dry east wind helps, wait until the southwest rain bringers start coming and you are back to square 1.

By the way.worst thing about those pics is that flag, should be white for you lotof nfc hiders

no damp in your loft that i can see chris

anyway how can you keep a loft totaly dry there is moisture in the air

especially at this time of year (mist ,fog etc )

comes into a loft through your ventilation

if you close that then you get respiritory problems

ive got the same type of floor in my loft and after it had down for a few weeks it started to darken,i think that is what makes it look damp.your loft and floor look very clean i can tell you look after your birds very well.just as a matter of interest what have you put on the walls is it some kind of insulation to keep out the cold.
