An apparent temporary restraining order obtained by Liverpool co-owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett in an attempt to stop a takeover deal has been described as 'unwarranted and damaging' by the club's directors.

A sorry state of affairs at Anfield,being an Evertonian I wish them everything they wish upon us :P

 

 

we could go into administration and still finnish above your lot :P

 

i think this shows that selling to the right people is a must.

this will be settled through the courts and liverpool will return to the top half of the league 2nd part of the season.

Singapore billionaire Peter Lim has withdrawn his interest in gaining control of Liverpool.

Hicks and Gillett won the restraining order after the High Court in London ruled the American duo could not prevent a change of ownership

He said he was out because the board were intent on selling to the other Americans, to the exclusion of all others, but if there was a change of mind by the board he would be prepared to come back in.

 

Then when he gets controlling interest, he'll sack the board for no taking his first offer

Liverpool have confirmed New England Sports Ventures have completed their £300million takeover of the club.
