wilsric Posted May 25, 2009 Report Posted May 25, 2009 I'm hoping to convert a 6x4 shed into a loft for homers, gather that will mean about 15 pigeons max. If I add a 6x4 aviary onto the side, how many more could I keep? Cheers
thunderboult Posted May 25, 2009 Report Posted May 25, 2009 having the avairy won't allow you keep more pigeons in the shed it'll just give them somewhere to go in the day time.
REDCHEQHEN Posted May 25, 2009 Report Posted May 25, 2009 I keep 10 in one that size - and wouldn't have thought there was enough room for another 5 (another 2 possibly)
wilkins Posted May 25, 2009 Report Posted May 25, 2009 i use 3 birds per length of the smallest wall so 6X4 would be 12 birds
wilsric Posted May 25, 2009 Author Report Posted May 25, 2009 OK, looks like I'll have to revise my numbers a bit. I want to start off on a small scale in order to ensure that the pigeons are for me before I spend too much. Thanks for your help
