Aviary roof!!!

When making an aviary would u have a solid water proof roof or just a mesh one.

I USE PLASTIC WERE I CAN FOLD IT BACK ON NICE HOT DAYS THEN COVER IT BACK UP

Solid roof and grilled floor mate, dont want wild birds droppings in also if a cat gets on top they wont see it

mines under an oak tree so a solid roof to keep the wood pigeons"waste" off/out ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D,and paving slabs on the ground so i can hit it with a hose pipe

solid roof with mesh grill floor built up 18inches with flags stones underneath so easy 2 clen when needs b

My roof is all mesh but then we have covered half of it with Norplex so as not to take all the light away but if there is a cat on top they can go under out of the way until you shift the cat.

im puting an 6ft by 6ft aviary soon to the side of my loft will be normal wooden felted  roof floor will be lifted off floor with mesh floor so dropping will drop through keeping aviary floor dry and clean  under that slabs so i can jet wash the dropping away

Mines is mesh, when it rains the birds just love sitting there with the wings up high.
