unikon or tauras ets ?????????

i was wondering anyone can you help?i buying this system quite soon but have been told by pigeon fancier tht has tauras its great and really has some good stuff on it like when pigeon hits ets mat its really loud here it from far away alsoo can be very good for printing out all your birds ect.then speakin to unikon guy he said you be mad to buy anything elso other than unikon a baby you use it and its so small and neat and reliable what am i to do help please.

You have got to make up your own mind as to which one you have,problem asking other people is they will allways say theirs is the best,I allways tell people to check what other members have in the club because it makes it easier all round if you all have the same,by the way I have Bricon.

unikon evertime.... seen all the rest.... dont get me wrong as long as they all time in your birds it doesnt matter, but for me unikon is the most user friendly

Dont think you'll get a true picture as all the guys using system A will say it's the bees knees and so will all the guys using system B   ;)

Only difference i can see between them is at the marking station were Unikon is just that little bit more user friendly.

would'nt have either, would prefer Bricon. A few mates have Unikon, some had software probs (clocking in) and i was dealing with Tauris over another matter and that was bad enough, would of hated to of needed urgent help!

i was told just now that only unikon and biscon is user friendly with windows VISTA all the others wont work unless you have windows sp which i dont have and i am always on the computer vista is modern dont you think.

As of 2009 Tauris works on Vista,

i think all systems are good and upto the job its a matter of personal preference some people wouldnt buy a ford others wont buy a vauxhall but at the end of the day they do the same job you are always going to get the odd problem with any set up but thats the chance you take .there are two systems that you dont hear many views on that is mega and tipes

get the system that most have in your club

so it makes life a bit easier for ets secretary

looked at taruis and unicon and bricon before we bought ets lads in our club had a bit of a problem with bricon when 1st started using it so that put a black mark against it for us and even now they still have probs i liked taruis but was put off by size we have 1 taruis in our club and to be honest no problems with it the lads with unicon had no probs wot so ever with their systems so that swung it for us and we bought unicon

wot i will say is wot ever system you by make sure its compatible with wot ever systems are in club allready because despite wot ever they say they arnt all compatible example taruis universe hub will run unicon but not bricon cos bricon software not compatible to uni hub so check before you buy other wise could ended up having to set up diffrent club systems

Must say had alot of problems the last 3 weeks getting a signal with Unikon,the green and red buttons are flashing after a while but when you connect the rest up it says no signal.

I use bricon and run tauris,,unikon,,bricon and benzing M1,, the 2 best ones are bricon and unikon,, tauris is huge and you have to press things before it will clock in.. all the others just plug in.. also the tauris only prints 1 copy at a time all the others can do the desired amount without going back into the clock..

 

tauris - huge and needs you to press buttons to clock and lots of buttons to press to basket also..

 

benzing M1 - very good but back up service is rubbish,, very expensive also..

 

unikon - very good,, but every year they need a few updates,, pocket clock will only work with unikon master,,

 

bricon - very good,, also needs an update each year..

 

the prices for them all are massive,, these systems should be much cheaper..

 

If you are choosing between tauris and unikon ,, unikon will win everytime,, but bricon is just as good ..

As some will know, at present I am the agent for Unikon in Norfolk, my local club is now applying for a grant, second go !!! They are asking for enough money to buy 15 benzing cheapies, the £200 clocks, ARE THEY ANY GOOD ???????

Would like to hear your thoughts, good & bad please.

for me its got to be Unikon its so easy to use & you get no problems  ;D
