micci Posted October 5, 2009 Report Posted October 5, 2009 I prefer open door, so last year built a 2ft extension to make a corridor, and put bob wires along the botton of what now is the inner doors,( over the ets) ' they go in like the devil himself his after them, 'and i can keep the outside doors open now to let more air in without them getting out.

micci Posted October 5, 2009 Report Posted October 5, 2009 will put a couple on tomorrow, wish i had took a few when the birds go in together, or try to, if more than 3 go in, the ets misses one, at the moment these sections are not let out due to moult and hawks about
micci Posted October 5, 2009 Report Posted October 5, 2009 Might get an extra pad for next year, for other inner door

chris h Posted October 10, 2009 Author Report Posted October 10, 2009 I'm having a new loft built at teh moment, and was wanting to try and use the traps like you have on you photo at the top, i have been using sputnicks how hard do you think it will be to get the birds to use the same traps as you. the way i got my bird used to it was to tie up the bob wires and let them go in and out on there own for a few days then i put the wires down again and they came in no problem with the wires down.
