Guest Gareth Rankin Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 just left steven aitchison d powers from the unc is bringing another panier full of su strays up to stevens on sunday About time the SHU organised for a Scottish Transporter to collect from the UNC on a weekly basis and extend the stray centre for a further 2 weeks, UNC is plagued by Scottish pigeons and yet we the shu want to wash are hands of anything to do with them, yes it will cause a lot of hassle foe some feds especially feds that have the season finished last week.
shotgun tim Posted September 2, 2010 Author Report Posted September 2, 2010 steven rang the unc stray centre they told him they have no su strays!!!!! so theses birds that are coming up must be direct from fanciers
Henrik Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 Shouldnt be a hassle for any transporter and there are plenty of them to call in at the NEHU centre on a weekly basis when they are all down that side liberating anyhow. SHU should work on a rota so each Fed takes its turn at bringing them up.
frank-123 Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 shu would not allow the stray centre to stay open longer last year i guess we dont do they work but would be intrested in davy fleming's thought on the subject
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 steven rang the unc stray centre they told him they have no su strays!!!!! so theses birds that are coming up must be direct from fanciers Because Lanarkshire had a horrendous race from Wetherby in 2009, the UNC kindly agreed on this occasion to take Scottish Strays in for the next 2 weeks which was until there season and stray centre had closed, because the shu stray had closed on the second week other methods were used to get these pigeons back to all areas of Scotland but logistically it was a nightmare but this was done with the help of J Quinn, Frank Welsh and others. UNC would do so again if organised in a professional manner by the SHU and there stray centre.
Guest Davy Fleming Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 More than happy to help by staying open for as long as it takes
