Hi has anybody used Ivermectin? and if so have they seen any detrimentle effects to the birds racing?

Used it yesterday,it has no effect performance wise on the birds.

used it for a few years now...wouldnt use anything else.was told it affects fertility,but not found this to be the case

The one drop stuff is not guaranteed to rid pigeons of worms.

I've used Ivermectin for years too, its a great anti parasite, but wouldnt use during racing as it will knock your birds off form.

 

Repeated use of the same pesticide can result in a build up of resistant strains of parasite.. best to use a different type, such as a cypermethrin spray, alternately.
