bluey Posted September 19, 2010 Report Posted September 19, 2010 There are 500 or so pigeons remaining in the loft(s) after the final race. These will be up for sale later this year. What happens to any of those that are not sold ?

What happens to any of those that are not sold ?I would say over half of those will be entered back in for next years yearling races, dont think there,s ever been a problem with some not selling.

gulkie Posted September 20, 2010 Report Posted September 20, 2010 is it optional to sell it or leave it to race as a yearling?
PIGEON_MAN Posted September 20, 2010 Author Report Posted September 20, 2010 is it optional to sell it or leave it to race as a yearling? You will have to let them know it you want to leave it in to go in the yearling races, but it does cost £150 to enter.
blaz Posted September 20, 2010 Report Posted September 20, 2010 i don,t think their will be a problem selling any of the yb,s that go for sale. when you think of it each of the yb,s that go to the sale wil have flown their program ,been the best yb that their original owner could bred for this race .proberly from their best pair or at least a very good proven pair for as little as £10 or £20 a few bargains to be had i think.
tjloft Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 Bought a pair of Jos Thones(Brian Willingham and Askam Sands Rats) - will pair and see if the YBs do better in Somerset OLR!!!!!
