If finished ranging same as any bred at any time. These birds are better as bred in the purple and have a better start in life. Further, why does one think, believe, that they are inferior to the inferior earlier bred birds

Birds bred late June done the 469 miles race in 1988 / 89 for me. Birds bred in September have won the Scottish averages next OLD bird season though wasn't really intended that year. But they won the Scottish averages again and in two clubs (Not duplicated)

Though if, and when, I breed late breds, there is 2 - 3 diffeent reasons....

A.Entering hens in old hens race.

Be to supplement a depleted young birds losses -

But mainly to have good birds 18 months down the line. I.e. Lightly tossed this year. Next season lightly tossed and 1 - 3 races of 100miles - 150 miles tops. Next seaon are ready for anything.

The latter is the one where Patience is needed, and many don't have or try.

As a new start I've only got late breds 6 of them trained 16 not but the 6 that have been got 3 ten mile then 1 twenty and then hit by perigrine but the other 16 will start the same 3 ten then up to 20 then they will get trained together at 20 a few times and that will be them for the rest of the year
