Guest strapper Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 as i havent raced yet ,im training as much as i can..this morning trained from near chepstow,lib 7.45am..all birds returned in a faster time...they are now being libbed and going for home more or less straight off. released strays again this morning 5 mls from where i lib the race team...got home and 4 from 5 back here grrrr.one was from weston super mare ..came in lastnight...why has he come back here opposite direction to its home?..i know i treat them ok but surely it should have made its way back home .
greenlands Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 Hi Paul,it's a great feeling when youngens do what you expect them to do,strays are another matter,you can toss them on their own miles away and the still turn up,do that with one of your own and it's gone.A couple of local fanciers have had birds reported 200ml South of liberation point, so they've gone that distance South instead of 100ml North ,how do you weigh them up.Lindsay
