pjc Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 Plot up somewhere adjacent to the M11 and you’ll be quid’s red cards in I was at Buckhurst Hill looking across the M11 and the birds streamed down there!
Guest mick bowler Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 In Ireland then would have to say Jimmy Hamilton in the south and probably John Patterson in the north. Jimmy has awful loft position but dominates his section and has had good open wins.

Guest spin cycle Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 IMO a decent jannsen is as good as anything
Roundo Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 For me upto 250 miles it has to be the Gaby Vandenabeele's.....unstoppable!!!I've tried varies sprint families over the years, but nothing can compete with these, and they've proved it again this year. At the end of the day, it's what works for the fancier. Colin.
andy Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 For me in sprint racing it's all about systems and position and wind direction on the day. Flying in a Fed like mine where the majority are inland fanciers (to the coast), flying for big money every week the competition is as hot as you'll get anywhere in the country, I've found that some breeds of sprint pigeons can't hack a head wind or a lack of sun, or a bit of rain. However I've tried a lot of them over the years and for me the Van Reets tick all the boxes, weather/wind conditions.
dal2 Posted August 21, 2010 Report Posted August 21, 2010 Agree wae Andy. Would also add that feedin is everything when you want tae win sprinting.
