Now that the young bird season is well and truely up and running, what do PB members do with their youngsters on basketing day?

 

 

what feed do they get?

 

do they get out for a fly?

 

do you use any form of motivation, prior to basketing the birds?

 

is anything added to the water?

 

do you handle each bird, and check them over?

what feed do they get? Gem superwidowhood as much as they want - food removed at noon

 

do they get out for a fly? Not normally - but they did last week and I topped the fed LOL

 

do you use any form of motivation, prior to basketing the birds? The young birds are split and run together before basketting

 

is anything added to the water? orego-stim

 

do you handle each bird, and check them over? don't always get the chance on basket day - so try to the day before

 

 

Do you kiss them goodbye?

Not the young birds - but have been known to kiss the old birds

what feed do they get? venobrayes no 39 race mix 1 oz each at 11 o clock

 

do they get out for a fly? if needed yes

 

do you use any form of motivation, prior to basketing the birds? just make shure there 100%

 

is anything added to the water? nope fresh clean water

 

do you handle each bird, and check them over? yes and basket them a 30/40 mins earlier just to double check if one or two might look iffy and if i dont think there 100% they dont go.

 

 

Do you kiss them goodbye? well my nieces kiss and rub the birds they picked out as babys

what feed do they get? garvo,feed em about 9ish then take it away once there done.

do you use any form of motivation, prior to basketing the birds? yes i whisper sweet nothins in there ear lol

 

is anything added to the water? vitapro combo,taken out at 12 then given fresh water

 

do you handle each bird, and check them over? yes wen i basket them for marketin

had my best start with youngens this year, 1st race i topped club n fed,2nd race i finished 2nd by a couple of yards,3rd race i finshed 1st n 2nd club.......roll on this week,hope i can keep it up

what feed do they get? I make up my own depending on what I think they need. They are fed-in from 6am exercise.

 

do they get out for a fly? 6am - 7am

 

do you use any form of motivation, prior to basketing the birds? Just leave them in peace.

 

is anything added to the water? No.

 

do you handle each bird, and check them over? Several times, before finally deciding which to send.

 

 

Do you kiss them goodbye? Not at basketing. I leave that till Marking.

birds are fed about 11 am to 12

this week birds will be fed earlier.

as last 2 weeks birds not hungry enough to trap well 5 on house roof b4 1 comes in

Jerry plus today and early breakfast tomorrow.

just fresh water today and tommorow
