Firstly i apologise for the delay in this update. I had hoped to of done it the beginning of June, but things never quite worked out. We are at last getiing all the monies out to those that need it. I never thought trying to hand out money could be so complicated! I wont go into too much detail, but some charities can make it very hard for you to present monies, while others will bend backwards for you. We have changed a few of the beneficiaries due to these reasons, but none the less all the monies will still go to deserving cancer causes.

Heres just a brief of what was raised and is being donated etc:

PENDING REFUNDS 370.00

TOTAL OUTGOINGS 6835.85

BALANCE REMAINING 2174.15.

As you can see we still have a few pounds to give away, but most now is allocated. I will put a full list of all beneficiaries when we have sent all donations out. I'm hoping we can also allocate the "pending refund" of £370, its a bit of a complicated issue and sometimes i think people forget what we are trying to do. We also had to give 2 refunds on birds that were not supplied, we did have 3 but the third told us to keep the monies, even though he never received his lot, a great offer.

I will post a further update when all monies have been sent out.

The following link has been earmarked as receiving a donation, http://www.mayocancer.ie/, it is a charity that i am hopefully going to be more involved in. It came about through a neighbour of mine who had non-hodgkins lymphoma 12 years ago. He came through a very difficult time as you can imagine, and was before Rockrose House was around, so when he was asked wether he wanted to help a couple of years later, he jumped at the chance. His experience is his main tools in helping others, he is at the end of a phone 24 hours a day 7 days a week. He receives many calls a week, from those that cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel. He gives them the reassurance that there is always a chance, and not to fear the worse.

If anyone would like to make a donation, you can via the site of PM me and i can arrange it for you.

I would just like to conclude by saying once again, thankyou to all who were and still are involved.
