Guest Mader631 Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 My little 8'x4' Loft..............
Guest Mader631 Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 My Loft aviary is to the east, because of my City Lot that's the only direction I can face it..............
Guest Mader631 Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 Grit on top of water......... grit don't get into the water + it saves space in the loft, use milk crate to sit the water on, i like to keep the water up high, keeps dirt out when brds fly around in the loft................. I use the the white floor dressing, that's why floor is white.
Guest Mader631 Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 Last photo.................................
Guest Mader631 Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 I'm still not done with the loft yet, have to put in a bob trap & install more vents & Perches.......................
greenlands Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 Tidy little loft mate,I would put a piece of guttering along the front with a downspout to stop water running into your trap on the front.. Lindsay

There prisoner Birds, they throw very good racers almost every round.............. So thinking about setting my loft up for flying natural. I'll see how it goes, plan on racing in 2010. I like the dark Check, he's got muscle!

HI Mader Nice tidy loft mate, just wondering why you're putting more vents in? Your birds are in great condition and if i had mine in that shape i wouldn't touch anything. Mayb you have other reasons though. All the best

Guest Mader631 Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 The weather here in Schofield, Wisconsin USA gets very cold snowy Winters & Hot & Humid Summers............. I tried to build my loft with an open concept, enough air flow without too many drafts. Also I wanted the loft 24" off the ground, we have many Skunks & critters that like to live under lofts that are too close to the ground, solved that problem by having it 24 inches off the ground. + get added air flow under the loft.
