im 7 mile from coldstream there was bqatches of 50-80 birds flying around and around as if they were lost at the same time our birds were due home (from 9 on wards) our fed has terrible losses also im 18 missing from 32.il ask around our fed if any su ybs are in there lofts il post on the forum if there is any

sorry to hear about your losses Davie,one thing that always goes through my mind is where are these missing doos ending up plus why are they not getting reported,your not going to tell me that some of the doos are'nt going into peoples lofts,it's maybe a case of if they are going into peolpes lofts they've maybe suffered losses thereselves and just think they keep them.

Don't really think it's a case of I've not much doos left so am keeping someone birds to myself as really don't think this happens. I for one get very little if any strays into my loft. A just don't know where they go. Maybe we can have a special race and follow them with 2 or 3 VERY SMALL aircraft or something like microlights specially fitted with cameras filming the race from a good distance and see what actually happens cause we keep talking about things but never come up with anything positive in what we can do. Just an Idea cause this is impossible to continue with the same thing week in and week out

Even John Mcneil lost 30 youngsters so a think what chance have the rest of us got when this happens to him and the quality of pigeon he breeds cause he just wouldn't send them if they were a bit dodgy. Certainly don't think it is the quality that causing the problem at least not in all cases. Much deeper than that.
