1St Toss With The Y/B'S This Morning

WELL THAT IS THEM STARTED FOR ANOTHER YEAR I TOOK A ROLL CALL AS I PUT THEM IN THE BASKET AND THEN IT WAS OFF TO CARNWATH (APPROX 16-17MLS) AND I TOSSED THEM AT 10.55 AND I WAITED AND I WAITED AND I WAITED :unsure: EVENTUALLY HAD TO LEAVE AT 12.40 TO GET SHIFTED FOR WORK AND MY MATE PHONED ME AT 12.45 TO SAY THAT APPROX 30 Y/B'S HAD JUST LANDED ON MY LOFT PANIC OVER TMOST OF THEM WERE HOME STILL HAD 4 OR 5 TO COME WHEN I LEFT FOR WORK AT HALF 1 BUT HOPEFULLY SOME OF THEM WILL BE THERE IN THE MORNING TOO DARK AND WET TO CHECK THEM TONIGHT

When is the first race for young birds and how much training flights should they get prior to the race?

 

Well done to the birds, wet today all over, i was working in Lanark today and it was chucking it down. Wasnt much better later in Airdrie.

1ST RACE IS THEI SATURDAY BUT I'LL NOT BE GOING BUT WHEN I LET THEM GO IN CARNWATH THIS MORNING WITH ANOTHER FANCIER FROM MY CLUB THE WEATHER WAS FINE ALTHOUGH IT STARTED RAINING ON THE WAY HOME A BIT IT WAS STILL CLEAR ENOUGH
