Well i bought a pair of 2009 Ybs from a one loft race. I had them here about a week, long enough for them to lay and out they went. Both came back, hardly moved away from the loft. At the time i thought it pretty strange as these birds had supposedly flown a series of races to about 150 miles. I thought they would have least to tried to find their "bearings". Anyway been flying well and i decided to train them with my second round YBs. First toss neither came back. It was only about 5 mile and i had Ybs in the same toss that are squeaking and only flown out a few times. The cock returned the day after the hen i'm still waiting on. She bred from long distance stuff apparently! I'm now of the opinion that no way did these birds fly the distances they should of.

On a good note i had a YB back earlier, it was in the garden and couldnt even fly up to the sputnik, how it got home i just dont know, skin and bone literally. It was the only YB i was missing, i reckon she been around the mountains. A very lucky brave and big hearted pigeon.
