Cat deterrent ?

The loft is up and I am doing the finishing touches outside today, the next question is about cats, I have a lot live round me and I need to start discoursing them from coming into the yard. Please no get a dog posts as that one is out as the kids are frightened of them. Is the timber criss cross stuff on the front of lofts there to stop cats from getting to the birds ?

Electric Fence.

Google Countrystoresdirect. Cheap, simple, very helpfull and problem solved before you have one.

Also I like the idea of the Glue. Has anyone tried it for mice and rats.

I 've been catching a few mice from time to time. Constantly reset traps of course. Wonder if I'd get more :-/ Get Sooner :-/ Do I miss any Yep must do.

Use the glue pads all the time mate, Very effective

Are cats much of a problem, the reason I came onto this forum is because I've suddenly got a raft of enquiries to keep cats away from pidgeons

Yes you are right, I don't keep pigeons. I am a specialist Electric fencing supplier and the reason I began searching about pigeons was because I've recently had 7 commissions to keep cats and foxes away from pigeons.

get yourself the biggest tom cat you can get ,give him the message the pigeons are not for catching , he will claim the back yard as his sovereign territory and keep all other cats away honest this works !

save your money, geta cat box ,only costs u the price of a smalltin of tuna fish to get the culprit , a cat in the hand is worth 2 in the bush .

ive heard that tiger/lion/puma/ s**t is supposed to keep cats and foxes away :-/

I'm against trapping cats, as it could be some little kids pet. I got a male cat that is not neutered. Brought a pigeon up in front of him when he was a kitten. No cats come into the garden. I've always had dogs, but the cats would still walk across the loft roof. I haven't seen a cat do that in 2 years.

He's always coming back with scratches and cuts etc. He's cost quite a bit, as I've had to take him to the vet half a dozen times, with infections and things. But it's worth every penny!

scarecrow devise that attaches to a hose is pretty good cats dont like water lilly pollen is poisonious to cats also

We had a really bad problem with our neighbours cats (all 5 of them) then the same neighbour bought a dog which spends most of it's time in there garden, since this the cats don't even come in our garden, !!!
