Guest joshdonlan Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 Great set up that mate. You build it yourself?
Guest bakes Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 very nice set up mate and birds looking well the main thing mate enjoy your birds you will have your ups and downs but if you enjoy your birds it will all make it worth wild when you see them coming back race day all the best. k.baker
mark croker Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 Looks well mate, all the best for racing
KEVIN ELLIOTT Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 WELL RON 123 THAT IS A NICE LOFT A CREDIT YO YOU ALL THE BEST TO YOU NICE PICS M8 KEV
OLDYELLOW Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 has the loft got an internal corridor ?
ron123 Posted November 24, 2009 Author Report Posted November 24, 2009 thanks still a bit to do my friend done it all for me woud have never set up only for him.
Pompey Mick Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 Very nice set-up, though I would fit a handrail along the front of the veranda and up the steps. (from experience). You easily lose your sense of position when watching a pigeon circle the loft.
ron123 Posted November 24, 2009 Author Report Posted November 24, 2009 yes i have a small corrider just inside middle doors but i am thinkin of putting a trap on right door
OLDYELLOW Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 yes i have a small corrider just inside middle doors but i am thinkin of putting a trap on right door wheres your ventilation ? :-/
ron123 Posted November 24, 2009 Author Report Posted November 24, 2009 that sounds good hopefully i will have some birds circling around loft ;D
Thimbles Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 what kind of ventilation do you have
ron123 Posted November 24, 2009 Author Report Posted November 24, 2009 ventilation all the way from front of loft roof back inside loft about 2 feet
OLDYELLOW Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 ventilation all the way from front of loft roof back inside loft about 2 feet i suggest you get a smoke bomb and test it out i think youl need some vents in lower at front of loft but like some have said get a handrail be a nasty fall if fell of watching birds and a tidy loft from what i can see
Thimbles Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 i would put some vents at floor level aswell
demolition man Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 i would put some vents at floor level aswell me too mate vents at the bottom a must
ron123 Posted November 24, 2009 Author Report Posted November 24, 2009 when inside loft believe me plenty of ventilation coming in but i will take what you said on board cheers o railings is coming fell down steps already ;D
Guest stevie-b Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 great setup pal hope you enjoy your pigeons looks like your m8 knows what he is doing get a handrail up u will need it after the pochine lol
Guest peter4pm Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 yea i'd get some vents along the front at the bottom
pjc Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 can you make it higher off the ground, looks a bit low to me!
showman Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 when inside loft believe me plenty of ventilation coming in but i will take what you said on board cheers o railings is coming fell down steps already ;D One of the 'secrets' of loft design......knowing the difference between ventilation & a draught
Thimbles Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 One of the 'secrets' of loft design......knowing the difference between ventilation & a draught yes no point having a draught blowing in over the birds u need ventilation at floor level helps keep the floor nice and dry aswell
ron123 Posted November 24, 2009 Author Report Posted November 24, 2009 can i make loft higher of the ground are you serious that would be nearly impossible believe me that is a high wall behind loft
