OLDYELLOW Posted June 15, 2010 Report Posted June 15, 2010 they all do the same job which ever system you decide to buy , however i'd use the most popular system in your club
just ask me Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 make the job easy on your secretary and choose what your club mates are using
PIGEON_MAN Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 make the job easy on your secretary and choose what your club mates are using I allways say the same thing to anyone thinking of getting a new system,it really does make it so much simpler if everyone in the club as the same one, allthough we have Unikon and Bricon in ours I find that the support you get from Unikon is absolute rubbish compared to Bricon.
PIGEON_MAN Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 Im thinking of investing in a Bricon system. Does anyone on hear use one and what is the best value for money? ThanksIt all depends on what eqipment you need ie pocket clock, extra pads, extra wiring it all adds to the price but i think you will find the cheapest basic set up is Bricon at £249.

PIGEON_MAN Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 hi mate stay away from the bricon we all use it in the club notting but problems birds not clocking on race day a mate of mine should of won the club birds racing week in week out he went the club the weekend and 6 birds that raced last week would not go through and i hear its happening to a lot of lads here in ireland as just ask said stay with the same system your club mates have alb tom May be of help to you but make sure the race is closed properly and all birds raced that week are deleted from the clock before the next race,I,ve found that most problems with ETS are human errors nothing to do with the systems.
fred x Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 they all do the same job which ever system you decide to buy , however i'd use the most popular system in your club I agree with Old Yellow, It makes life a bit easer, on marking night if the club has all the same system!. & The cheapest is not always the best!!. over the fuw years we have had ETS in our club is seems the BRICON is the one that we have more problems with!!. most of us now use UNICON. I use UNICON becouse It give you a biger 1st pad, & the pocket clock fits nicely in your pocket. But they all do a job. It's up to your own liking I think.

OLDYELLOW Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 i have bricon never had any problems with it , as said if installed properly and know how to use the system then no problems with it as been said most is human error but much easier to kick a system than blame ones self
