Guest spin cycle Posted June 15, 2010 Report Posted June 15, 2010 not a very well explained poll ???? i race south i've not long since moved so no hurry to move again fer at least 6 years lol not to bad...but i did i hit the 'null vote' by mistake and then wondered why my vote didn't register ....c'mon you 'north roaders' get voting
OLDYELLOW Posted June 15, 2010 Report Posted June 15, 2010 added id probably move north would love to fly with the mighty U.N.C
Roland Posted June 22, 2010 Report Posted June 22, 2010 No rating for voting for those of us that go both North and South, Nor what one thinks is the stiffer challenge... I find North a lot harder and more challenging personally.
david.j Posted June 22, 2010 Report Posted June 22, 2010 added id probably move north would love to fly with the mighty U.N.C not after this years channel racing you wouldnt
OLDYELLOW Posted June 22, 2010 Report Posted June 22, 2010 not after this years channel racing you wouldnt i think you'l find we had same races at channel and i'd still remain the same prob with our fed its run by the transport company they want to pick up drop off get birds up get home and they choose the race points fer last two year if happens again that we jump from Eastbourne to Clermont instead of arras/ lillers or ameins i will be withdrawing my support , will certainly be making a few proposals this year
JohnQuinn Posted June 22, 2010 Report Posted June 22, 2010 Given that the French/Belgian fanciers don't get the same Percy trouble as us, if i was in southern England i'd race south every time.

pjc Posted June 22, 2010 Report Posted June 22, 2010 a quick poll for you. strange question if your giving up!
Guest dodgydaz Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 currently i fly south, but would love to find a club near me that flys north road, think the racing is better and harder, plus i would love to try and do what my dad did 20 years ago and top the fed from lerwick
marmite Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 us in the south have had a hard season racing sth as headwinds every week the north rders down here havent had a hard race all season our vel on sth havent been above the 1300s but north theyve been getting over 2000 vel so for me id rather stay sth rd harder and dont end up with a loft full of birds that have had it easy jmo atb to all clive
Guest stb- Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 I HAVE M8S WHO RACE NORTH AND SOUTH AND THEY SAY THEY LOOSE VERY FEW BIRDS ON THE NORTH ROAD BUT GET SLAUGHTERED ON THE SOUTH
kirky Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 I intend to move south to fly north with the NRCC within the next 2 years,
Guest spin cycle Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 I HAVE M8S WHO RACE NORTH AND SOUTH AND THEY SAY THEY LOOSE VERY FEW BIRDS ON THE NORTH ROAD BUT GET SLAUGHTERED ON THE SOUTH i hear similar things...bit confusing really. this year the winds have been predominatly northerly making our north road birds faster...but its been on the nose for south roaders which is perhaps why you've had a more difficult time. normally the prevailing wind is sw...not this year
