Guest Rob_1982 Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 Hi everyone, I was wondering if any1 had a spare t3 clock because next year i would like to give racing my pigeons ago.... I have had my birds 4 years and havent raced them yet... I was lucky enough to have recieved 2 old birds off Crazy Pigeon Boys when i very first started... I am very greatful to him as now i have some lovely birds and feel that next year it will be a good time to race them.. I dont expect it for free but as a family man i dont have alot of money to spare... But what we do have i have to admit goes on the birds... Many thanks.... Regards Rob

Guest Rob_1982 Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 Thank you... I hope so too.... I have been reading up and watching dvds to give me tips... I went to a liberation on saturday at Portsmouth... It was great and it has made me want to do it even more.... i also went last weekend to Bedhampton to watch them aswell and i have put a few videos on utube under Bedhapton and i have emailed British homing world so they said they might publish the pictures and say a thank you to the helpful people who liberated the pigeons and tought me alot... They were a very nice bunch of people that made me feel welcome....

pjc Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 Have you joined a club for rings etc? What clocks are they useing in the club?
Roland Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 Agree with Bigda. Will be many good clocks with be there to be had. Some to borrow, others for a sale cheap. Don't see any urgency regards a T3 though. Not too worry you too much, but have you be having this birds up the road for training?
Guest spin cycle Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 seen several on t3s ebay recently...i've no exp. of them but i think they need servicing which can be costly....so check status before buying. grey stbs are cheap, simple and cost little to run. be careful with other makes of clock as some are now not able to be used by new owners due to having to be registered before a certain date. i borrowed a clock when i started...best way. good luck

Guest SPORTKA Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Hi there, just a word of caution, if you start racing unraced older birds be prepared for some heavy losses, I stopped my youngsters last year after a couple of races to try and preserve them for this years old bird racing,it was the worst thing I could of done my losses have been horendous, they need educating/racing experience whilst they are young, no amount of training tosses will give them racing experience as I have now learnt, (The hard way), you might be better off just racing young birds to start with, good luck to you whatever route you decide to go.
