Why are there only 7 new content posts showing?

 

The portal isnt too great either. How do people go about finding posts they need?

Hi m8, if you click on FORUMS and go to the bottom of the page then click on

Today's active content this will open up all the recent threads, I believe admin are attempting to get this link moved to the top of the portal page. I hope this helpshttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif

Cheers Sapper but on the old forum you could go back through for a few days back, cant admin look into that again.

these are the settings i have mine on it suits me mate have a look you can do quite a bit on your settings just remember what u started with lol

 

 

to get in there click the drop down list under your name top right hand corner then press settings down the bottom of the page

At last, an official that can screen shot and explain how things work

 

I just noticed that the search has a blip, if you are looking for anything less than 4 characters i.e, ETS then the search gives you this message

im not sure its a blip a lot of search engines on forums require words of certain length its more vallance side of things if I'm honest

 

i don't know if it can be sorted in admin settings but i do know a few forums are like this annoying i know

 

 

if you put in ets system you might get what you are looking for

all recent activity for last 24 hours appears just above member names viewing new content is quite good as you can mark as read then you only see newer posts and threads

This is the first site I have seen this on search and you can put just one letter in any search engine and get a result

Like I said you can search for ETS on any other site and any search engine you can search any single letter

you can post as many as you like

A few teething problems but i'm sure it will get sorted sooner rather than later

an error message came up saying id posted too many photos lol had to do it in 2 posts

The post file size has to be 1mb or less, ie 10x 100kb pics, if you use the likes of Photobucket you can post as many as you like

I think the search facility on the old site was pretty poor - In fact i actually found it terrible.

 

We are actively working on things and can promise members that when a suggestion is made its not being ignored, its being discussed and then the questions being asked of our technical support to see if its possible - Its all we can do.

 

I will ask about the search and also any possible modifications to the portal etc.

 

Even if you can get it back to 3 characters them you can search for common things like ETS, PMV, etc not forgetting STV & BBC

 

I liked the old search engine and if also covered members if you wanted to follow their posts
