chris h Posted May 9, 2010 Report Posted May 9, 2010 I sometimes wonder why i bother with pigeons. I have lost a few off the loft hawks i think.then theres the ones i have lost in training.then theres a few i have lost in my first three races, now i let my ybs out today for the first time at 1300hrs.i have 2 on the roof i cant get in and five missing. am starting to get fed up with all the bad luck am having and this is only my second year racing.if it carry's on like this much longer for me i dont think there will be a third year.
just ask me Posted May 9, 2010 Report Posted May 9, 2010 its hard mate that for sure but stick with it there not to many sports where the amature is expected to compete with professional but it can be done takes time there no doubt on that unfortunately the sport is full of lows but makes the highs sweeter
OLDYELLOW Posted May 9, 2010 Report Posted May 9, 2010 its hard and disheartening at times , but you've got to take the rough and the smooth , stick in there you'l come good
tony austin Posted May 9, 2010 Report Posted May 9, 2010 not a very good time to let out y/b chris as there would be birds in the sky racing or trying to make there way home from yesterdays racing. try leaving them out late in the evening a bit hungry.ps hope you get them back.atb tony.
pigeonpete Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 Keep your chin up mate, this is my 5th year, And had plenty more downs that ups, And it is tough at times, and i moan, and get upset at times, Lost 50% of my team this weekend, but will keep plugging on. maybe in ten years time when theres 30 hours in a day, i will win from tarbes
Guest lenwadebob Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 Pigeon racing has always been tough, but in recent times things are getting tougher with the added problems the birds have to encounter. Keep your chin up, I know it's hard at times.
