Guest Freebird Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 I've a young bird, 9 weeks old keeps flicking it's head like there is something in it's ear or like when we get water in our ear. It looks like it's saying NO fast, He He! Apart from this it seems very healthy and bright eyed. Any thoughts?
Guest Brian.Duffy Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 Is the beak open when its doing it? Brian
Guest Freebird Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 Is the beak open when its doing it? BrianNo Brian. Its just a quick flick like something is anoying it. None of the other birds do this. Weird.

boxer Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 I MAYBE WRONG BUT KEEP A VERY CLOSE EYE ON IT I WOULD SEND IT TO HEAVEN
just ask me Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 id get it tested mate could be the start of something more serious separate it for the time being could be noting better to be to safe than sorry
JohnQuinn Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 I would separate it from the others until it either stopped or gets worse, at which time depending on the outcome it would go back amongst the rest or.... well 0R!! I'd definitely NOT take it to the vet, cos your guess will most certainly be better than his/hers.
dal2 Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 Are you gan taerace it or put it in stock shed? If stock then perservere if race then I would kill it and cobsentrate on healthy onesCheers Steven
Guest Freebird Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 Defo not red mite or any other mite as no other bird showing it and my birds/loft are clean. Sorry guys it's not a racer but a tumbler. If I send it to heaven then I'll not know what it is, will I? This bird is in perfect health apart from this little twitch I just thought maybe someone had come accross this and it might be something simple. Has it been sneezing too? I maybe wrong but could it be resp.?Nope, no sneazing and very clean wattle and very healthy looking. I MAYBE WRONG BUT KEEP A VERY CLOSE EYE ON IT I WOULD SEND IT TO HEAVEN Maybe wrong about what? I don't send birds to heaven unless they are due to go,He He He!
