Guest spin cycle Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 seeing as i havn't left yet i'll try to start a campaign to get the polotics off this site. everyone has the right to their views...but surely pigeon fancying should be about 'building bridges' not perpetuating a 'class war' as dovey seems to want.by posting on here (for or against) you can help admin. gauge opinion as to whether the site should be inclusive or devisive. have fun and as allways its just my opinion

Guest Owen Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 You do not have to read what has been written so why not leave things alone and stop carping. This is a wonderful Forum and it is worth protecting, so rather than complaining and trying to convert it into a Politically Correct site why not live and let live. Perhaps you should remember that things like Elections, Football games and other major events will attract interest if only briefly. Just for the record, I am disallusioned by politics and I really do not like football, but I realise it is all part of this great tapestry of life. So my vote will always be for freedom of expression.

sapper756 Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 believe me owen i'm only 'hanging around' until admin. grant my request and disable my account,IMO you're wrong. that it USED to be a great site Still a great site, if you don,t agree with a thread, then don,t get involved in it, I would ask you to reconsider, and stick with it;)
Guest Owen Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 I agree that it has taken a bit of getting used to, but I like the freedom this site gives us. I know another site that is so controlling that it gets boring. The problem, as I see it is the fact that there is such a wide variation of people who are interested in pigeons. There is bound to be differances of opinion because of the diverse backgrounds we come from. I see that as good, and like to put my point of view while respecting the views of others. I wish I could get you to stay with it because you bring a differant dimension to things compared with someone like me. And as I see it that is of benefit to anybody that reads the differant points of view we express.Pigeon Racing is a very unequal sport where novices are expected to compete with people who very nearly professional. Then unlike the flat terrain of the Continent we have to cope with mountains, valleys and very diverse landscapes. Any and all information that is made available on sites like this, has to be good. And people like yourself provide a valuable insight for novices. So I reckon it would be good if you would reconsider and stay with it.
Guest stb- Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 WELL SAID OWEN , IF YOU DONT LIKE IT DONT READ IT , YOU ARE NOT COMPELLED TO DO SO , I AM STARTING TO GET USED TO THE FORMAT OF THE SITE BUT STILL PREFERED THE OLD FORMAT FOR POSTING AS SOMETIMES IT STILL TAKES ME AGES TO FIND THINGS ,
jimmy white Posted May 6, 2010 Report Posted May 6, 2010 i would ask you to reconsider spin cycle,[ youve been on too long to leave now lol ],,, and in fact help " build the bridges" as you suggest, i completely agree with you,,but as in all walks of life, there will always be different opinions, etc, but having respect for each other, does, in my opinion go a long way, maybe we could all help build these bridges, and look forward to a great forum, i look forward to your posts "spin" best of luck

I hardly think my comments to around 50 pigeon fanciers would change the course of the election. If you disagree with my views then debate them or agree to differ but don't leave because of it
