Guest vander mungo Posted May 4, 2010 Report Posted May 4, 2010 does anyone on the site fly jan ardens i heard they are good distance birdsthere are all sorts of familys of birds good at the distance racing, but need a good manager.ive had great teams of distance birds in the past, unfortunate for them, because if theese teams had been footballers, i would have been sacked a dozen times over the years ive been flying.so i stick to the type of ive a chance to compete at now

bigjamie Posted May 5, 2010 Author Report Posted May 5, 2010 good morning old yellow where would i get the deweerdts from
Shortcut Lofts Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 I have also tried many strains but have always returned to the Busschearts. 2009 i sent 4 to St Malo 444 miles into Ireland and got 3. 2008 sent 3 got 3 although 1 was 4 days, 2007 sent 2 got 2. These for me are the best all rounders and have no issues with distance.
OLDYELLOW Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 good morning old yellow where would i get the deweerdts fromtheres a few on site , but the topman would be Geof Cooper not much he hasent won , but have to agree with Eamon up to 500 miles the Bushearts are the best all rounders
ribble Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 Forget the strain names and go to the best long distance lofts and get them of the best. You will have lots of disappointments if you go chasing strain names, and even getting them from the best long distance lofts there will still be disappointments.

greenlands Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 Ask the fancier his or her methods, feeding ,pairing, treating, training, water, ask if you can spend a bit of time with him/her,watch everything they do and most of all write it down, even the best of us can forget.Lindsay.
