Hi all

I live in Leeds and i'm soon to be a novice fancier and will have my loft up and running for the middle of oct 10.

I realy like show racers but am having problems with finding out much info, as in which club to join, where the shows will be held and where to get some nice stock birds to start my team with. So any info i get is more than i have at the moment.

thank you

shane

Agree with Phil.

Get your loft etc. sorted out, and suss whichever Society will suit you.

Better to leave it until late summer / autumn before looking for stock.

Like to see pics of loft when you have it finished.

You finished your loft yet Paul?

Haven't started it yet mate !!

To be honest, I couldn't get a plan right in my mind, and it was only last week that I think I got it sorted. With only 24' x 8' room to play with, and wanting aviary access for all sections, it was doing my head in coming up with a design. Fortunately Chris Knowles threw in his say, and from there I got it sorted. I now just have to imagine the loft built, and convince myself it will work.

Thanks for asking mate ;):)

yeah i was gonna leave it till sept/oct to get the birds so i could be sure all was finished and i was set up proper. my loft is going to be 8 x 7ft which will have an avairy next year 6x6ft so im only wanting a small team for now.

Well, that's a fair plan. Don't rush into it, and don't worry where your birds will come from.....should be a few about at that time of the year. A couple of pairs will be plenty for your proposed loft size. ;)
