Chatrace Posted March 25, 2006 Report Posted March 25, 2006 Do you win much? Were you every accused of cheating? Are you a Pain in the Butt? did you not pay a debt to anyone that way? Are you to short or long with mileage?Do more than half the people not like you for one or more of the statements above.
seagull Posted March 25, 2006 Author Report Posted March 25, 2006 yes we do win a lot of races but being rejected from another club which i belive there is no more than 7 -8 memberts in this club surely they would want members its just hurts you and if any of the north rd flying club in brighton reads this they should u should be ashamed
Guest speckled Posted March 25, 2006 Report Posted March 25, 2006 Well seagull, no how ay feel,it happened to me,& chatrace, i am none of the above , ;D except yes i do win, i think it, just go to show, if ya a winner,in ya local area, thay wont let ya in, but non winners welcome, its a shame that even when ya in a club & winning every week & have a really good season.Thay dont enjoy your winning :-/ instead,of trying there best to beat ya the following week, thay are trying, more than ever to get ya out of the club. So seagull i now how bitter ya fell.Well im in a club that have few members we welcome members, but thay dont seem to apply lol. ;D Chin up mate Speckled.
Mike Lycett Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 Speckled - agree entirely. Same happened here
peter edwards Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 same happened 2 me and only keer 14 race birds, and fly natural, was 2 nd highest prize winner 12member club, went 2 join a club 5 mins from me got knock back, not raced for 2 yrs now, going 2 start again this yr only natinol & classic races, all the very best all. Pete
pigeonpete Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 Hi all bit different for me as you know i only started with ybs last year! i applied to 5 localish clubs, never raced pigeons before and guess what? no one would let me in? was definately in the radius of at least 3 of them but the best answer i got was "sorry were not taking any members at the moment!!" what are they scared of? change thats what it is to many people are to set in there ways and dont like change. but if things dont change very quickly............ then you dont need me to tell you what will happen. If your in the radius then your in simple as that for me!! Anyway i have got in a club 7 miles from my house outside the radius but they were the only club willing to open up there radius just for me!!
pigeonpete Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 p.s and by the way i have keppt pigeons before but never raced but my grandad was a good flyer!! i am very keen, but how many young lads/girls would be willing to go to the efforts i went to,? none i bet they would prob give up after a couple of clubs and get very bored very quickly > :X
rockinrick Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 hi all i jus got told last night at a meeting that i dont have enough birds to fly in the club i wanna race with , and to come back next year maybe , why wat it matter ???
barry Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 hi seagull i now them all in the north road , they dont like people that win everyweek and i think there just scared of the competition your better of without them .
barry Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 just pick a team for the north train hard and your get them from the classics.
schouwman71 Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 there should not be "invitation clubs" and should not be allowed,if a person hasnt done anythink wrong then they should be allowed in any club, winner or no winner, some are just scared to be beaten and thats all its down to.
square_peg Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 my club has never refused entry to anyone .unless they are bypassing a club nearer them or they are trouble.Idont think any club can afford to turn GOOD members away what no club needs is trouble this game is not on its last legs but all clubs need all members on the same side
THE FIFER Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 i agree if someone applies to a club and they are within their radius and no bad reports about them then they should be admited, if someone applies to a club and they have another club closer then they should apply there,
Guest speckled Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 :-/ :-/ ;D Lol fifer, down here if ya face fits :-/ ya in, but if it does not sorry the raduis closes.as i well no. The last club i was in could not wait for me to put an application in as i surported all there shows, each year. & surported there, B/Buyers every year,.& there presentations. thats without being be a member ;D. So i decide to join as there, was more to win in there & the presentation, wa brill , all local top fanciers attened we had a auction ect. ye thay where happy to have a hard working person in the club. :) But as soon as you start winning all the trophys the first year ya join. :o well lets say thay dont, like you having taking up the prize nite, with all the cups(,but not all,) ;D ;D, the B/B, plus all the gold ring money in the fed ? :-/ nothing to go do with the club, as thay where specialist ring, ya had to ring the y/b with on hatching.Thya diid not take kindly? :'( :'( made my lif a misery in that club the following year for racing.& to say my mind was not on racing, but trying to fit back into a club, that welcomed me with open arms. But thay did not wont to no, that whole years was wasted. As i had felt an outcast, the atmosphere was so bad i never raced the rest of he season. But it do make ya feel that when ya reach the top there are always people that cant take, being beaten..A wiser Speckled> ;D ;D .
T_T Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 Same opinion as many others, shouldn't be allowed and the club that refuses anyone membership without a valid reason, drunk, volatile, proven bad character etc, should be taken to the regional panel about it. NO ONE should be refused entry to any pigeon club under normal circumstances, whether they win every week or not.
Guest Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 Rockinrick If I were in your shoes, I would be calling the RPRA and finding out who your Regional Councilmen are and making them aware of the situation. This is beyond belief. As for Invitational Clubs, if you have to join one, make sure you have seen a copy of the club rules before hand. The first Club I flew in in the States was an Invitational Club, The Cascades Invitational and in my first year I was approached by a representative of the Club and told that my invitation would be withdrawn as there had been a complaint laid against me ,did I cheat I asked myself as I'd won a good few young bird races, had I broken some AU rule ?? the answer to all my questions was No, what I was guilty of was being seen drinking a can of beer in public while waiting for the birds to come home at The Washington Young Bird one Loft race. Apparently this had upset a member of the club and I was deemed a disgrace and an embarassment. Needless to say I said a hard word or two and a couple of days after the President called me and said it has all been a mistake Yeah right!!!!!!! So be very careful when joining an Invitational Racing Pigeon Club
Guest WINGS 04 Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 I TO HAVE BEEN KNOCKED BACK FROM JOINING A CLUB AS WELL I ALSO HAD A MEMBERE OF MY CLUB TRY AND GET THE OTHER MEMBERES TO DISBAND THE CLUB AND NOT LET ME IN WHEN THEY RESTART KNOW THERE IS ONLY 11 MEMBERES IN MY CLUB AND 11 HAVE MADE A NEW CLUB 2 HAVE JOINDD ANOTHER CLUB THE NEW CLUB IS A INVITATIONAL CLUB
whiteflight Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 Who gives the right for members to vote against anyone who has done nowt wrong except win a few races my way of thinking seagull you have been to succesful and these club members are scared of a little competion
Diamond dave Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 Hyacinth, BEER IN PUBLIC - thats disgraceful!!!!
Guest Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 I know, I reckon if I'd have been living in the time of the Salem witch trials they'd have strung me up for such a wicked offence.
seagull Posted April 3, 2006 Author Report Posted April 3, 2006 yes this is not the first time it has happned we were told not 2 put letters in other brighton south rd clubs we would not get so we have 2 go out of town just 2 get in it annoys me me espically when u have 2 race against them in fed each week
