Guest TAMMY_1 Posted May 9, 2006 Report Posted May 9, 2006 MAYBE WE ARE GOING TO BE RACING FROM FRANCE AFTER ALL . IN AN E-MAIL FROM PETER BRYANT THIS MORNING HE SAYS THE FRENCH HAVE ASKED HIM TO SEND APPLICATIONS FOR THE PERMITS TO RACE THIS SEASON .
Guest shadow Posted May 9, 2006 Report Posted May 9, 2006 Don't hold your breath, I cannot see any old bird channel racing this year as Defra have to give clearance even if france say yes

Guest Posted May 9, 2006 Report Posted May 9, 2006 31st May is the next EC decision day for AI. Hi-risk period (August to April) now over. I feel the case FCI put forward is quite strong. Maybe if they had asked for restrictions to be lifted on 31st rather than 1st May, we would have been laying plans now for channel racing in June. Still confident, still hopeful!
AlanWilkins Posted May 9, 2006 Report Posted May 9, 2006 lets hope but if its lifted i hope the programes are ajusted so were not strainght over 350-400 miles picauville will do to start with
Mike Lycett Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 Alan I think if it were lifted the week before Nantes then we'd go to Nantes.. Not sure- but that's my belief.
Guest Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 if they did that would they get the birdage though?
Guest Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 I hope we do get some french racing, I think I may start to adjust my feeding for my older cocks as a just incase, so they will be ready for the jump, which would be from 250miles to 400miles. Just the thought of getting some french racing puts a smile on face .
johnny11 Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 we ahve decided whichever week it is lifted we will start our programme then from the beginning for how many weeks of the programme are left to avoid jumping from 190 to 440 mile (nantes to my loft)
AlanWilkins Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 I think youll get 3 n 4 year olds sent but me yearling deff wouldnt go a fed picauville might get them ready for the longer races
peterpau Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 So what you gonna do if we don't go to France this year or next.
ribble Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 we ahve decided whichever week it is lifted we will start our programme then from the beginning for how many weeks of the programme are left to avoid jumping from 190 to 440 mile (nantes to my loft) im sure the right birds would be ok.
