weirzo Posted June 2, 2006 Author Report Posted June 2, 2006 thanks, will keep the guys in work quiet for a day or two
swilcox Posted June 2, 2006 Report Posted June 2, 2006 Hi Louella has indeed paid the highest public recorded price. Seem to remember that a Kuypers Bros hen called Beatrix was sold privately for over £100,000. More recently a pigeon called Super Ben was sold for an undisclosed amount way in excess of £100,000 to a Taiwen business man. Wim Van De Velden of Boskoops turned down £110,000 last year for his Barcelona winner and let her stay in the loft!!!! A brave man. Stuart
andy Posted June 2, 2006 Report Posted June 2, 2006 I PAID £100 FOR AN EGG LAST YEAR. THIS EGG HATCHED AND WON ME £1866.00 2 WEEKS AGO PASSED WEDNESDAY & £145 0N THE SATURDAY. THE BIRD CAN BE PURCHASED AT 20/1 ITS WINNINGS!!!!!!!!!

Guest Posted June 2, 2006 Report Posted June 2, 2006 I dont care what a pigeon has won or bred, no pigeon on this planet is worth that much money!
bewted Posted June 2, 2006 Report Posted June 2, 2006 sbelbin,,,same can be said for footballers !!!!!!!
Guest Posted June 2, 2006 Report Posted June 2, 2006 Totally agree. Its big news this week that on average they get 3% less in their wages on previous years :

Guest Posted June 2, 2006 Report Posted June 2, 2006 Footballers pay shrinks in comparison with Baseball players. Pitcher Roger Clements came out of retirement and signed to play with the Houston Astros from now until the end of the season in late September, his pay cheque a cool twenty Million Bucks.
Guest Posted June 2, 2006 Report Posted June 2, 2006 the only baseball bats over here seem to be used in doing over people!
NANCYVIEWLOFTS Posted June 2, 2006 Report Posted June 2, 2006 i think its buisness when birds go for that amount the more they are seen to pay for a bird the more they can charge for a youngster off it and this carries on down the scale till we get to the £20 POUNDERS
