jimmy white Posted June 11, 2006 Report Posted June 11, 2006 wonder what folks thoughts on the best pigeon through the years i know that FORTUNE LADY SCORED , I THINK II TIMES NATIONAL FLYING OVER 500 MILES,,,AT LEAST I KNOW IT GOT 2 GOLD AWARDS,,, SOME FEAT, BUT I SUPPOSE THERES BEEN MANY A GREAT PIGEON
jimmy white Posted June 11, 2006 Author Report Posted June 11, 2006 THEN THERE WAS EDDIE NEWCOMES,,,,RED ROCK SCORED IN EVERY NATIONAL IN SAME YEAR
Chris Little Posted June 11, 2006 Report Posted June 11, 2006 Fortune Lady was simply out of this world , without a doubt the best hen on the planet at that time. If she raced into Holland / Belgium the money men from the far east would have filled their pants A pigeon in a million
swilcox Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 Little Darling of S V Miles was 1st Club 1st WOESRC Dax 520mls 1800b and then the year after she was 1st Sect 1st Open NFC Pau 540miles 5400b and she bred 3 x 1st Dax/Marmande Combine winners and many more. They tell me that Channel Queen of Mike Youngs was a pretty specail hen and dont Natrix of S G Biss. Morning Glory 2 x 2nd NFC Pau. At middle distance Rod Baxters De Centenary and Beths Boy have pretty specail racing records across the pond! But to me the best pigeon that ever raced into this country was the Legend of Brian Sheppard and to think he was stopped at 2 Year old. A dream pigeon that got the dream result!!!!! Stuart
Henrik Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 What about Barry Kinnears Auld Reekie 1st 2nd 11th & 23rd SNFC over 500mls and still racing?
mealybar Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 A shorter distance sure, but no mean feat was put up by Village Lad 2 x 1st Open UNC Folkestone, 28,307 & 21,969 birds competing; Porter & Stevens of Percy Main.
swilcox Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 They are all pigeons that would be a dream to own!!!!!!!!
