yes a hard race indeed , last night here was a really miserable night,here, with rain from about 5pm onward, hope theres a lot more back by now, its tough when you go over the 500 mile mark , good luck to those who have timed

Never got a bird till this afternoon But am still not happy that the birds appear to have been liberated when it was raining either at or very near the race point > > For goodness sake give the pigeons a chance!!!

i would like to no why one fed lib at that time and others waited to afternoon could some one please let us no, they were enough birds on the nite to say it was a fair enough race so does this make the descision ok ? i myself only had 1 out of 5 2nd day a yearling, so if it could make it i take it the other 4 were not up to it that is my thinking of my own birds.

DID YOU NOT WATCH ALL THE POSTS COMING UP FOR THE BICC RACE FROM THE SAME RACEPOINT ON THE SAME DAY AND THEY WOULD NOT LET THEIR BIRDS UP BECAUSE OF RAIN. WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE OR ARE YOU NOT BOTHERED ABOUT THE LIBERATIONS. LOOK BACK AT THE POSTS AND YOU WILL SEE THERE WERE A LOT MORE PEOPLE THAN ME THAT WERE QUESTIONING THE DECISION OF THE LIBERATION WITH THE AMMOUNT OF INFORMATION ON THE WEB RELATING TO WEATHER THERE SHOULD NOT BE MANY MISTAKES MADE BUT THAT DOES NOT GAURANTEE THE WEATHER IF THEY HAD LOOKED OUT THE WINDOW OF THE TRANSPORTER THEY WOULD HAVE SEEN THE SAME AS THE CONVOYER ON THE BICC TRUCK    RAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

When the leading birds are doing about 1300 velocity and there is less than 20 birds on the night i dont think it's a fair enough race Pender!If the birds would.ve got a good start the race would've been all but over on the shift

 

 

 

PS....never got a bird till sunday afternoon masel :B not sour grapes i've never timed on the day over the water : :B :B ;D Ah well maybe next year!!!! ;D

THE AGM IS THE ONLY PLACE TO CHANGE THINGS BART

at fed agm get it changed who are you trying to kid, i for one have stood many a time at the a.g.m. and q the race controller iv even had written proof with me did not do any good you get people like j cullen and others standing up and backing the controller saying it good race. and if you read my post tammy i asked q i did not say the controller was write, i only commented on my own birds plus said there were enough birds on the nite. remember this was 500 + race

The birds were obviously let go in bad weather and had to fly the last 130-150mls at least in rain aswell(one of our club members sons drove up fron Preston on saturday evening and it rained all the way to Lanarkshire).So no surprise some birds struggled but it's the same old story no matter how bad the race you allways get birds who will fly on through it though and well done to them....

Who in the right mind will take the job on. mistakes do happen and birds get let go by some and not by others. You guys can change the advisor but who will volunteer when the knives are too easily out

BECAUSE IT WAS 500 MLS PLUS THE BIRDS SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN RELEASED IF THERE WAS ANY DOUBT WHATSOEVER ABOUT THE WEATHER.

there is very few races at 500 mile now where there is good weather from start to finish, and remember the nat went at tours and had birds on the day at 600mile. If truth be told there were prob more bad and untried birds at our fed race than they were good ones, they were prob lot of last chancers at it .

I HAVE NOT GOT ANY BIRDS BACK FROM THE RACE BUT I THINK IT IS MY FAULT I WILL NOT BLAME ANYONE AS NO'ONE MADY ME SEND THEM I HAVE NEVER TIMED BIRDS IN FROM OVER 500+ MILES AND I WILL BE SENDING 3 MORE OF MY BIRDS TO THE LAST 500+ MILES LETS HOPE THAT I GET THEM BACK
