I got 35 young birds home... waiting for 10 young birds to come.

 

I got 37 Y oung birds home...waiting for 8 young birds to come....

3 out of 3 yesterday. dead chuffed even though it was only 104 miles

got all home bad returns mind last one came today had 3hard races recently

Glad to hear you all have good returns as we got slaughtered yesterday from catterick. we were controlled by the south lanarkshire race controller and he made an a**e of it to be polite. not only did he ignore the advice he was given by our controller he thought he knew more than the weather forecasters. approx 80% of the convoy missing so i hope he sleeps well tonight safe in the knowledge that he has destroyed the plans of many a fancier, me included.

 

Hi Greengrass Sorry to hear you had a bad race. Lanarkshire were at Otterburn

convoyer reported at 9am that cloud cover was below transporter Otterburn

sits in an elevated position but he could not see valley floor.As there was no wind

to move it he requested that controller consider a move to Kelso.This was done

with birds lib at 10.45 Something stopped your birds getting as far as Kelso

Because our returns were good/very good Hope a lot more turn up

AND IF HE HAD SAT LONGER HE WOULD HAVE GOT GOOD WEATHER BECAUSE DUNDEE WAITED TILL IT CLEARED AND THEY GOT A GOOD RACE FROM OTTERBURN WHEN THEY RELEASED AT 10-45 ANOTHER RASH DECISION AS USUAL

Quite correct IF IF IF we had waited till 10.45 and had cleared as it did a race was possible IF IF IF we had waited till 12.00 and it di did not clear you were having

a holdover Driver could not move till 4.00pm
