Guest Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 I'm having a lot of problems flying at the moment, due to a neighbour leaving his birds out all day (That's another story) We never see hawks at this time of the year but they are being attracted by birds sitting out all over the place all day. Yesterday I had a pair buzzing the place all day, took me two hours to get my trainers down BUT one of the hawks must be as thick as two short planks. Spent most of the afternoon attacking the metal Pigeon on the weather vane on top of the breeding loft. Can't shoot guns here, but I was just hoping the Cooper knocked himself out divebombing the metal bird, which he didn't, oh well may get a few more hours entertainment today

TERRY JOHNSON Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 Know what you mean, I had similar happen on my cockerel weather vane, I think it was a sparrowhawk it was on the cockerals back spinning round with the vane & trying to cover it with its wings. Do you think it was a short sighted bird trying to mate ? ;D ;D ;D
