Hiya guys i have a deep red cock i am pairing to a cheq pied hen, anyone know what colour young birds will be?.I will try and post a couple of pics but they are in the moult at the mo so look rubbish

Just my thoughts as to what i would expect, but no expert??

Sounds about right mark, had a pairing of same colour last year and young came out as described in different nests.

you will get blue /blue cheque/mealy/red  cocks and hens which any of them could have white feathering

what about a black paired to a blue

Last year paired a dark cheq pied to a red hen - got one red cock, also

paired red cheq white flight cock to blue cheq hen - got 2 dark red chequers ( one cock, one hen ) - no white feathering on any of them.
