ACE LOFTS Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 Basicly i would of won the young bird averages but the club secretary didnt submit the average forms to the fed . now there saying that they cant change it, can i do something to change this. bering in mind our club secretary is the fed president. have i just been well and truly turned over.
aarden Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 i would say you can appeal, you have nothing to loose
Roland Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 I doubt it personally sorry. Exact happened to me in that the Feds sheets wer kept and club, and club sheets went to the fed... Iwas disqualified... and that would have been our first win. Mind I never protested to our section of the RPRA, which I often wished I had, but all local Secs said I would be wasting my time. Yes darn it ACES write a protest. Don't know if there is a time limit, but the bad taste is already there so what the heckers, yes go for it!
THE FIFER Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 BRING IT UP AT UR AGM, U WILL GET AN EXPLANATION WHY UR SECY DIDN'T SEND THEM, AND IF HE WAS WRONG SHOULD GET A SLAP ON THE HAND AND TOLD NOT TO LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN.
pj1001 Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 Hello Ace, If I was in your position I would contact the RPRA or your particular union on the matter and get their ruling on it. I assume your Fed is affiliated to the union, so in theory at least you would assume that they should be obliged to follow the unions directive. Afterall it was your secretary's error not your's that you details wheren't put forward to the Fed, even more so as they are also the Fed president. Its not like you are asking for something you haven't won. Good luck I hope you get what your good young bird season deserves. PJ
jimmy white Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 would definately appeal to the rpra or put up some kind of a protest as this could happen if 2 or 3 secys done this in the future, the 4th in the ave would win it??? something far wrong
ACE LOFTS Posted October 26, 2006 Author Report Posted October 26, 2006 i dont no rose but u no who im talking about dont u.
Guest Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 i would think u have grounds to apeal, if ur sec is the feds president then he should know better.
Guest Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 In this day-and-age with computer programs the old requirement for clubs and/or individuals to submit and claim averages should be long gone. Averages should just fall out of the program, as with the BICC this year. Personally I'd submit a rule to the AGM of ANY Federation that averages are calculated centrally by the Federation Secretary ... if their computer program can't cope with averages then they can soon buy one for next to nothing.
Guest Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 I can't get my head around the fact that you have to claim what is rightfully yours ace. I know it is the way they do it but thats like a football club winning the premiership but the manager didn.t put in for it so they gave it to the next one that did. What happens if the secretary doesn't like you but he has a friend in another club runner up to you, surely it leaves it open to abuse?? Or in fact just that he doesn't like you full stop , jealous people can do funny things I should know after this season. Contact the RPRA and maybe put a proposition in to the fed agm that this practice is changed. Christ Ace after the way you have flown this year, you bloody deserve it.
Beanz Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 I would appeal but whether that will change it I don't know, there may be a time limit as with races which with a race is usually 7 days from the publication of the result. I think with something like this if there is a time limit it should be at least a month as not all clubs have meetings regularly. I have been on the other side of the coin were I was deemed to have won the averages in the fed and nothing was said until the fed presentation when the trophys had been engraved, even at that late date I told them that they could have them but they would have to go and speak to the fed secretary and sort it with him, they declined to do this so I never found out if they had actually beaten me or not.
ACE LOFTS Posted October 26, 2006 Author Report Posted October 26, 2006 there was a deadline for secretarys to submit averages to the fed by last sunday. do i still have a case
gangster Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 ACE I THINK YOU HAVE GROUNDS FOR AN APPEAL ,YOU NEED TO CONTACT YOURE REGIONAL SEC, BECAUSE YOU WON THEM MATE DONT LET IT GO! CONTACT THE R.P.R.A THEY WILL GIVE YOU THE NUMBER, COMON IMRAN GET IT ROLLING NOW .......MICK
gangster Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 BY THE WAY YOUR SEC IS WELL OUT OF ORDER NUMPTY T**T...BET IF HE HAD WON THEM THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN IN ON TIME... > > > > > > > MICK
Guest Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 You obviously know the Fed Average results, so they've been published. You have the right to appeal the result within X days of it being published ... check your Fed's rule on the time limit , usually 7 or 14 days from date result was published. First appeal is to the Fed Secy. Depending on the outcome of that appeal, you then have recourse to other appeals up to and including your Union. Check out your Fed & Union disputes procedures. Good luck.
jimmy white Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 i should imagine ace that the quicker you put an appeal or letter explaining ,, the better within [7 days say] i dont know your rules,, i also see that the secy is the fed president , if there was a meeting held by the fed ,concerning this i should suggest that as your club secy is the fed president,he should take no part in the meeting ,,and the vice president take over. [best of luck to you ace]
ACE LOFTS Posted October 26, 2006 Author Report Posted October 26, 2006 just spoke to the region secretary and shes just as bad as our club secretary, basicly she is backing him up, up saying its tuff that i lost out i should of perswayded the secretary to submitt the averages "because they have a tuff job and they r only human". well concidering i offerd to help the club secretary a week after the last young bird race. what do i do?
mark Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 take them on either way you win or lose good luck
Guest Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 Take them on Ace, you are entitled to it.
ribble Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 yes go for it ace. how the sec forgot is beyond me,how long has the sec been doing the job?if its their fist year i could understand them not knowing to submit it.
Roland Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 Well Like my case I still kick my self and the principle that I didn't take it up... and I was niave to say the least, first season and told by many secs 'Not worth chasing '... It was as that hole in my guts would have been filled... So outside of a few ruffled feathers and a nose or two tweak, even put out of joint, you have nothing to lose... Self esteem and self satifaction mean a lot down the road. Not the losing out later on... BUT the fact you sat back and let it happen and did nowt. For it isn't he that tries and fails that is a failure, it is he that doesn't try. That's it's I'm afraid in a nutshell. Dam if you do and darned if you don't ... but you know best how you will react down the line. Maybe you can swallow it and let by gone be bgone. Like I posted before when my mate won the Gold Gold (Feds) and they put the wrong name up, when they offered to put it right the best they could he shrugged and said... 'Nah don't bother me noine, I know I won it, and it will soon be forgorren ... so don't ruin a good cup ..' Some man was Bill Cooper.
