Guest Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 today i was due to have some birds picked up from a flyer off this site by amtrak! after numerous calls around their depots/offices i now find out that my request yesterday to have birds picked up wasnt going to happen because as the guy in the cardiff depot says(they shouldnt have told u that next day they,d be picked up) ???thought thats wot they home page says ...quality next day delivery?.. so this now has been the 2nd time in a row that they have messed me about . only the other week they did the same to me!! i feel sorry for the person whom i bought the birds off..waiting there for amtrak to arrive. i can but only appologise to him. i know that all the shouting and raving to amtak wont make an ounce of good but it makes ur blood boil how pathetic their sevice in some area,s can be. wot a way to run a business...........sorry about the rant........paul. :(

NANCYVIEWLOFTS Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 we can only speak persoally in that we have never had 1 single problem with amtrak in over 20 years but a good friend of ours sent 6 birds off last week and they didnt arrive at the destination the next day after several phone calls they were located in a holding depot in birmingham and fortunatly one of the work force was a fancier and he looked to them until other arrangments were made

I wanted a bird picked up from Newcastle, a few weeks back, and they say all the bullshit about next day and also same day delivery service. Get on this one! I phoned them on a friday, and they told me that the only time they collect birds, is between Monday-Thursday and if I wanted it for the next day (Saturday) I would have to pay over £40! There are a waste of space!. > Steve.
