THE FIFER Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 i have always wanted to join e-bay but afraid to give card details, i thought about just having a bank card with only a few pounds in it so if they get it they will not get much, this would be a debit card account, u can only spend what u have in it.
Guest Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 trouble is fifer you only hear the bad stories, millions of pounds are spent online. give it ago! if you need any advice on setting up etc give me a shout!
RoryTheRed Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 Happened to me a few months back - Racing cycles worth 8 grand was put on my account...Aol is gone and i'm with NTL who update all 24/7 my security & Virus programme. I now have a 16 digit/letter password.

HOMER49 Posted December 2, 2006 Author Report Posted December 2, 2006 IVE JUST HAD TO CHANGE MY PASSWORDS AS SOMEONE GOT MINE I ONLY KNEW WHEN E-BAY E-MAILED ME :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ Hi Gangster Any email from ebay you should NOT open the link Go to ebay through your address bar and open my messages If they have sent you a email it will be there Cheers Homer 49
RoryTheRed Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 I logged in and checked my bidding and i saw 5 showing against my active link; the air was blue when i saw what was on there and the cheeky b88888d had put an email link so the bidders could get in touch with him. Thnakfully it was all solved by ebay within 10 mins.
birdman55678 Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 I personally have used ebay a lot and never had a problem. But like Linda I use paypal and then only with a credit card that has a $500 limit. But ebay has right on there site to only do business with persons or businesses that have lots of good rating.. Beware is always the right way to go. Ed
