very old breed , but very good distance birds westcotts, barkers, hansenes, grooters etc  but would think they would be wattered down by this time, would be interesting to see if anyone has line bred them and if so how their performing, but these were all hard working breeds

there are still a number of people who flythem successfully in the suffolk area from distance races

are not really pure, most are crossed into their own familes,

derek reis honeysuckle has a few but not sure what they are based on

names form the past who had done well with them

wally grantham, j& R Brill(1970 NRCC kings cup winner with lady violet) , J Hollingsworth, A Keeble

There used to be a guy that had a advert in one of the pigeon weeklies about once a year that had the westcotts,i cant remember if he had one in this last year or not though, perhaps someone out there can remember his name.

I have 3 westcotts that I bought from A S Chapman and son of woodford green.

Don't know how good they are as I only got them in November.

I believe that is the guy who advertises about once a year in one of the weeklies,in fact i have just found his advert in the racing pigeon dated 24/11/06 if anyones interested.
