Guest jason Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 The wife is going potty over this one Sean. Our kids have been going to our club since the eldest was 2 and a half and the middle one was 6 months old. What has the RPRA and the region secretary had to say about all this? If my misses was in charge she'd ban all the bar stools who are doing this to you and encourage your lads mates to come along with him. Hope you get it sorted out mate. Jason
Sean Posted February 23, 2007 Author Report Posted February 23, 2007 im under rpra and nehu. the club flys under nehu im going to arrange a meeting with them for next week or as soon as their can arrange one. im totally peed off at the moment regarding this i would like someone one to help me through this ie what to say to the union i dont wanna go with gun's flying and spoiling with what i seem to be a good chance of bring them to justice.so if anyone is willing to help plz pm me with any info. many thanks sean'o
Guest Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 I'd stick to common sense, Sean. You are a single parent with sole responsibility for your child. Your child also has special needs and cannot be left with either a childminder or as the club suggests unattended in an open car. Cars get stolen with and without children in them. You are both interested in pigeons. You need to attend race marking and clock checking and your child needs to accompany you. Both of these occasions would also become highlights of the child's week. The no-child rule discriminates against you as a single parent. It discrimates against families and it discriminates against disabled. I'd need to do a search, but I'd also say it discrimates against the Child -children have legal rights too. You must pay your fees, then take it to the governing Union.
Sean Posted February 23, 2007 Author Report Posted February 23, 2007 ok all iv been and visited nehu union this afternoon iv taken advise. iv got untill 1st march to put an letter into club stating that i wish my son to go into partnership with me. the letter already wrote and will be sent by hand to the sec today.the club as to have a meeting.then iv gotta wait to see what happen's.if that fail then i need to take it to the fed then so on. think im going into the right direction
Guest Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Definately take it further, discrimination in so many ways. I don't reckon a letter to the homing world regarding the state of our sport wouldn't go a miss either. Christ at our club when we get a youngen join we do all we can to help them, clocks baskets birds etc. We even get them on the ringer when they come just to get them involved. Disgraceful - name and shame them.
jnr j Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 maybe we should all contact the nehu via email and vocice are utter disgust at this clubs actions COULD anybody put a link up so i can tell what i think
Sean Posted February 23, 2007 Author Report Posted February 23, 2007 what bug's me the most is that my naubours new from day one that the birds was for my son and why didnt their say that no children was allowd why wait all this time 7 month to say u in the club but not your son why have secret meeting this is all going bk to fed and so on their bang out of order their should have sent letters out about this meeting never got one infact was word of mouth is all i got on the day of meeting. to me that meeting out of order and shouldnt stand.
Seanthecamman Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 hello sean i dont race pigeons so dont know nothing about rules ect ect but for them to tell you that your sons not welcome in the club is bang out of order what harms he going to do. whats their address and we can all send them letters about this. sean2

tubbles Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Lol i have heard some lousy rules in my time but this takes the biscuit. I am not a fan of having kids at the club but to set a rule in stone about it is something else. Surely the club realised that you had to bring him to the club when you applied. I would check that it is the pigeon society that is against you and not the pub/club itself, if it is the pub/club then ask them for (big word coming up) special dispensation playing on disability. WE all seem to think it is your pigeon club but they could be abiding by headquarters rules. Make sure that you point out that he would not be in bar area and would be gone by whatever time marking is over. I know that our headquarters says children out at 8pm, it is worded better than that but that is the rule, we are at a Liberal club. In all honesty if you could get in another club that allows him in, I would join and let it slip what a lousy club that you were in. Of course apologies to anyone from this so called society that maybe reading this lol NOT
Sean Posted February 23, 2007 Author Report Posted February 23, 2007 can anybody plz state wat i need to put in my letter to the club to let them know my son is going into partnership with me just reading this one i did bk and dosnt sound right iv been advise not to resine by the union i dont have to and their can not make me like their was trying to say if i want my son in partnership
gangster Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 sean you need to write a letter to the club example......dear sirs i would like to apply for a change of status ,from sean ***** and now to fly as S&S **** FOR THE FORTHCOMING SEASON YOURS IN SPORT..s***** keep it simple and to the point this an example sean if its like rpra thats all you need to write....in reality a word to your sec would do but coz the clubs being dicks its in writing they should be no probs as your only asking for a change of status....mick goodluck and keep calm dont give them any excuse....
Guest Paulo Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 dickheads even the fools at my club let kids come its how you get them interested I used to help with the baskets as a kid

Ronnie Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 The way to go is fight fire with fire mate like yearling said in last post ask for minutes of the meeting and so forth. If all else fails mate look into starting a new club i'm sure if you was to write a letter to the BHW and explain there is no clubs for you and your lad then someone would open a boundry for you. Cant believe how bad they are treating you mate .I would have come to full blown fisticuff's by now Hang in there and do it all properly mate .Good luck
carl Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 SEAN i fly into almost the same area as you mate,i fly in Oddfellows hs in Sunderland, this would never happen in our club,i have taken my son along to basketing and to do the clocks since he was 2 years old, never has anyone complained about him,he has even been a bit loud and running around on striking of the clocks but never told i couldnt take him with me...Farringdon hs should be ashamed
pigeonscout Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 How can so many sad men be all members of the same club? A club can make as many rules as it likes but not one of them rules can break the law of the land. They cannot discriminate against you because you have to care for a disabled child and that child cannot be left on their own. I would ask them if they will take responsibly for the welfare of the child if anything should happen because you left the child unattained. If not then they have no choice but to let you have the child with you in club. Personally I would not want to be in same room as these sad men who think it is better to stop a father and disabled child from enjoying this sport than it is to change a rule. If this sport has members that cannot make allowances for a man who has to care for a disabled child then I am ashamed to say I am part of it.
frank-123 Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 sorry you are getting all this crap sean i was on the ringer when i was six years old and was not even a member my pay was a big of chips and a can of juice hope you dont lose heart keep going dont let them win !!!!!!!
