Guest TAMMY_1 Posted March 13, 2007 Report Posted March 13, 2007 WHAT ARE THE PRICES FOR THESE SYSTEMS AND WHAT SYSTEMS DO YOU RECOMMEND, WHAT ARE THE PROS AND CONS OF THE SYSTEM YOU USE......... from£350 to £600 depending on how much sensor pads and cables you need to have, plus rings at £1.20, plus back up battery system if electrcity fails, unikon and tauris are the two most popular ones in use at the moment, plenty more systems coming on the market, main advantage will suit sprinters who will time a lot more birds in when they land at once, you dont have to be there to watch the birds arriving, a waste of time having birds if you dont want to see them coming home, you dont have to handle birds on arrival, as far as i am aware there are no disadvantages to using it except for all the moanin you will be gettin when some club members want it and some dont, dont have it and dont want it but feel that anybody that wants to should be free to use it if they like,
gangster Posted March 13, 2007 Author Report Posted March 13, 2007 i thought you may have a wee bit of imput here ian mac
Guest slugmonkey Posted March 13, 2007 Report Posted March 13, 2007 The current newest best and brightest is the benzing m1 but I have an old unikon and it is very simple to use when your club decides to start make sure everyone agrees and make sure they all get the same brand of clock this makes things a LOT simpler we have 3 types and it really slows things down !!!
Guest slugmonkey Posted March 13, 2007 Report Posted March 13, 2007 The new M1 is able to read ALL bands which means that you dont have to be manufacterer dependant so as this catches hold the price of rings will go down as they will be made by 3rd parties
gangster Posted March 13, 2007 Author Report Posted March 13, 2007 ive noticed this system in the weeklys what is the costs...

Chatrace Posted March 13, 2007 Report Posted March 13, 2007 They are made in Germany so you should be able to get them cheaper than we do as the markup may be less. Here is our price from the only outlet in the States http://www.siegelpigeons.com/catalog-timers-M-1.html
