Roland Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 All my clubs check for wing stamps ... must be prevalent to this area, and the Northants Fed, ecause like most of you I get most strays with a rubber and no Wing stamp. And like you I get very few reported when I have stamped them. SHU - NEHU and the Welsh lot obviously don't know how to be able to wing stamp. With a bit of education though ... who knows, wonders are known, but have never seen, nor herad of one that has been stamp. Best they don't join the RPRA else we have to set up night schools to educate them lol

jimmy white Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 i use perment address rings cat git em off very easily so no wants the bird allthough ybs ,,,must be stamped ,, i find the rings are better , easy to remove b4 racing,,,,,,but either way,, how many do you get reported nowadays,, either via union or direct phone
kev01293 Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 i always use the coiled tel no rings but have had a few come back with the rings missing so i might start using the permanant tel no rings, as others have said on here when reporting strays most are glad to get them back but others just want u to throw it up next day or ask can u take it down the road and then release it, few that ive spoken to want to send for them, one fancier asked me to bin it for him and that one is still sitting in my loft, surely if we are good enough to report their birds the least they can do is send for them ?
