Guest TAMMY_1 Posted May 10, 2007 Report Posted May 10, 2007 LANARKSHIRES RACE FROM BIGGLESWADE ON 9TH JUNE DUE TO TRANSPORT PROBLEMS THESE BIRDS WILL NOW BE MARKED ON THURSDAY THE 7TH JUNE THINK IT IS ACTUALLY A GOOD IDEA AS WILL GIVE THE BIRDS PLENTY TIME IN THE BASKET AS HUNTINGDON WAS ALWAYS A RUSH TO GET THEM DOWN FOR A SATURDAY MORNING LIBERATION

Guest TAMMY_1 Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 first i have heard it is good to have them in a basket a day longer is good for the birds maybe the driver would run out of driving hours so needs two days to get there is that not the reason transport problem????? well if you think back to the races we had from huntingdon, which this replaces,when we basketed on a friday night and the transporters would be lucky to have left by midnight and batter down the road for nigh on 300 miles for what was an early liberation last year, i would guess th e birds would have been lucky to sit for a couple of hours, i had always said the huntingdon race the birds should have been basketed on a thursday anyway and this way they they can sit for a day at the racepoint which is what i hope is happening, will be asking about this because i dont want the birds basketed early to go nowhere.i know the simple things are hard for you to comprehend bart but hope that explains it for you. ;D
