Guest Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 I know columbavac has been in short supply for the last month now,I had to lend some to a friend as he couldn't get any, manufacturers cannot keep up with demand apparently. There are alternatives such as the oil based one,Nobivac, although you do have to be more careful with that.
Guest Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 Posted elsewhere that I had to use Nobilis this year, couldn't get colombovac. If its just a few birds, maybe another club member can help? Usually some left over.

Guest Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 Why is they no colombovav? I want some for my young birds! Cant use Nobivac, tried it before, its rubbish! its like thick milk According to Pigeon Pharmacy, its a manufacturer problem, they were promised supplies twice during early part of year and by May when both dates had come and gone, I was forced into using Nobilis. Take your point but would expect oil-based vaccine [nobilis] to be thicker than water based one [colombovac]. That's the only difference, both same vacine, do the same job. Watch dose and timing tho - they are different for each product.
madmaxlofts Posted June 9, 2007 Report Posted June 9, 2007 ive been waiting for a month for some off the vet, theres a short supply up and down the country ive been told off the vet orders will be repleniched on the 17th of this month hoping so ive usually done my young birds at least a month ago maybe longer
