expat1 Posted June 28, 2007 Report Posted June 28, 2007 It would be interesting to know where all this information comes from. Over in Belgium they are racing from Bordeaux and Orange this coming weekend, Both places pigeons can cross the Zones outlined, there are no rescrictions on the Belgian Fanciers racing at this time through France, As far as i know the Basketing for the Barcelona International goes ahead this coming Sunday, Of course that does not mean that the English Racing will go ahead as well I hope so but for the Belgies every thing has a green light
geronimo Posted June 28, 2007 Report Posted June 28, 2007 i hope the bbc havent moved to san sebastian. can't be doing with more sprint racing.
Guest Posted June 28, 2007 Report Posted June 28, 2007 Up till close of play last night, nothing on RPRA website, this is up tonight:- Outbreak Of Avian Flu In Europe Due to the out break of the Avian flu virus H5N1 in the Czech Republic and Germany the Following sites in France have been closed to all pigeon racing: Niort Fougeres Picauville St Malo St Nazaire Vannes The Racing Support Team have informed all race organizers and are arranging alternative sites and permits This is the current situation at the time of update, we at the RPRA are monitoring the situation and will keep you informed of any change as we are informed of them.
expat1 Posted June 28, 2007 Report Posted June 28, 2007 Yes Rose, Barcelona is on for Basketing on Sunday in Belgium. I have not heard anything about Perpignan but i know the French Minstry had a meeting with the KBDB a couple of days ago and it was passed that racing go on as normal
peterpau Posted June 28, 2007 Report Posted June 28, 2007 Best o' luck geronimo. Mine should have been there too but bottled out at the last minute. Found my five water races this year tough but also rewarding. If your gonna progress you must know when to call it a day. Good luck.

expat1 Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 Rose, if i here anything regards a change from Perpignan i will let you know immediatly, Last Time there was a prpblem, Marseille International was off as was the Belgian Orange National, We are there for the weekend as well as Bordeaux Steve
geronimo Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 this peterpau is wise man. i reckon the nfc and bbc will go for afternoon libs to miss the rain in the channel forecast for this evening. Either that or they will be in the baskets for another week.
Guest Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 They would have been better off libbing early as they would have missed the bad weather by the time they got this end. Tomorrow will be harder for them to get over the water gonna be rubbish.
