Guest Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 hi , im seriously thinking of calling it a day ,ive been suffering with chest pains for a while and im thinking its down to the birds. im currently on antibiotics and to be honest wish i hadnt started back up this year. i have to say that im very grateful to certain people who gave me a head start back in the sport before xmas with some gift birds, those i can never thank enough and forever grateful to them. and for some flyers who has bred me some y/bs this year. i have aquired some decent birds and i will have ones i bought for sale ,as i cannot sell ones that were gifted to me and wouldnt feel right if i did. i have around 50 y/bs not yet trained. also i will have 2 stb,s for sale 1 quartz, a1 time keeper and a wind up stb ,both passed 3 way test this year ,i will post when or if i call it a day in the near future, and what is for sale.......paul
davebuttle Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 Its a shame that you feel so unwell that you are unable to continue, why not sell the gifted birds and make a donation to the site and help others out that way? Good luck with your health for the future. Dave
Wiley Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 be a great shame for you to leave this sport, i hope you decide to stay! all the best Ryan

Wiley Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 hi i would never bin the birds that were given to me,im not that kind of person, the wife thinks i should keep a few in a small shed with a big flight ,just to keep me happy...she knows how much i love the birds....paul sounds like what my uncle will be doing, he is just keeping his stock birds and breeding babies for other people and to gain enjoyment from him breeding pigeons for other people and a form of success if the birds do well!
Guest Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 Think you should look at your last plan - fewer birds, a smaller shed and a HUGE flight. I'm sure you will all get some benefit. ;D Seriously, you don't miss your health until you lose it. Take care and do what you feel is best.

Roland Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 An aivery with nest boxes, or rabit hutches with an enclesed nest box where the wind blows through. I believe Kieth Mott does this with sucess. If fact there is a photo of his or someones about, will look, but have no doubt some on here will know the site. The best of everything to you, whatever you decide.
