budgie Posted August 16, 2007 Report Posted August 16, 2007 Met Office reports for this weekend dont look promising. With unsettled rain and showers( some very heavy) on saturaday the only chance may be sunday morning depending which racepoint you are at as the North East of England area into the Central Belt is very dodgy.Lanarkshire are at Otterburn but all the signs look like another Kelso which is unaviodable with moderate visibility and 13 mph NNE winds its no a good weekend for racing doos. :(
cowly7 Posted August 16, 2007 Report Posted August 16, 2007 You never know Budgie the weather has been wrong before.. ;D (but see your point) ;D

Guest shadow Posted August 16, 2007 Report Posted August 16, 2007 keep them at home this weekend does them no good sitting in the baskets hoping for a race
budgie Posted August 16, 2007 Author Report Posted August 16, 2007 keep them at home this weekend does them no good sitting in the baskets hoping for a race Thanks for your positive approach my concearn is that youngsters dont drink in the baskets.Last week our Federation held over to the sunday we had good returns but when some of the youngsters droped they looked as if they had flown 500miles.This was down to dehydration .Day on Begasol and 1 Vitaboli (b12) capsule and to pardon the punch thay are right as Rain. Take Care without a good team of yearlings times get hard.
Guest WINGS 04 Posted August 17, 2007 Report Posted August 17, 2007 WE CAN ALL SE IT DOSE NOT LOOK GOOD BUT WILL SEND THEM ANYWAY IN THE HOPE THAT THE RAIN DOSE NOT COME

Guest TAMMY_1 Posted August 17, 2007 Report Posted August 17, 2007 I might not send then well I firmly believe that the birds should be basketed and at the racepoint, there is always the chance the forecast will be wrong, has happened to us last year, birds were not sent on the friday and the saturday was a super day and the birds were not there .
Guest Paulo Posted August 17, 2007 Report Posted August 17, 2007 well I firmly believe that the birds should be basketed and at the racepoint, there is always the chance the forecast will be wrong, has happened to us last year, birds were not sent on the friday and the saturday was a super day and the birds were not there . Suppose on the short yb races they can always bring them back

Couldn,t agree more to me cancelling a race on the strengh of a weather forcast is stupid, they never seem to get it right in our area anyway.

cheq pied Posted August 17, 2007 Report Posted August 17, 2007 Midlothian federation has cancelled their race for this weekend
Back garden fancier Posted August 17, 2007 Report Posted August 17, 2007 Cheeky sods, weather forecast is now a bit better than it was, there might be a window between 1000 and 1500 up the middle of the country! They are very good at forecasting cloud ( because they can see it from space ) but useless at forcasting if anything will drop out of it! Fingers crossed there could still be some racing.
Guest Vic Posted August 17, 2007 Report Posted August 17, 2007 Rose, Yes, we are at Fareham. Marking is tomorrow around 14.30. Cheers, Vic.
Guest stevie-b Posted August 17, 2007 Report Posted August 17, 2007 disapointed cannot give youngsters enough libs or trips in transporter id rather be sitting at the race point just in case rather than them sitting at home especially when you have a convoyer like ours who does a wonderfull job
Wiley Posted August 17, 2007 Report Posted August 17, 2007 tony wouldnt be suprised if our feds even went closer, peterborough or huntingdon way things are looking
Tony C Posted August 17, 2007 Report Posted August 17, 2007 tony wouldnt be suprised if our feds even went closer, peterborough or huntingdon way things are looking If a weatherman ever says to you 'good morning', my advise to you would be go outside and check :) Lets see what tomorrow brings
